The first intervention in Corcumello (2016) allowed us to test our working hypotheses – even before the association was founded – refining the method and objectives of this complex program.
The material collected during the Corcumello campaign – the hamlet where a large part of our early work was concentrated – was almost entirely lost in a major theft of equipment and memory storage media suffered in November 2017.

Corcumello (Municipality of Capistrello – AQ) is a medieval settlement with an elliptical fortified structure, strategically located 744 m above sea level on the watershed between the Piani Palentini and the Valle Roveto. The site presents historical stratification ranging from the Roman era to Renaissance highlights, making it a significant nucleus for the cataloging of cultural assets and architectural photogrammetry.
The historic center was significantly impacted by the 1915 earthquake and subsequent seismic events in 2009 and 2016. The photographic documentation must support the identification of structural cracks and the monitoring of weathering decay on unprotected stone surfaces.
